Monday, May 14, 2007 I was at NTUC queuing up to pay for the strawberries. On my left, there was this girl who looked like she was twelve years old. There she was, holding a Teenage magazine in her hands and happily reading it while listening to music (her earphones were on). At that point of time, I almost went up to ask her sarcastically if she had paid for it. Even though I do not know of any publishers or editors of Teenage magazine, the purpose of SELLING magazines means people buy and then read. So what is the point of selling if one can read for free? The person at the cashier did not bother either. When it was almost my turn, the girl's mother came over and they left. They had just bought some groceries from NTUC. Then, I thought, maybe it was not a bad thing after all. She did not buy it because she know it would be quite a waste of money. But come to think of it, probably her mother did not allow her to buy. Anyway, my opinions for teenagers nowadays are not that positive. Oh yes, I bought my nike bag. It was after 20% discount. From $72.45 to $57.95. I 'saved' $14.50. My bag is exactly the same as gabriel's but I don't care. =D That reminds me. I had never seen gabriel nor mary-anne in school before unless meeting gabriel at the bus stop counts. I need to meet adeline to pass her the spectacle box and conveniently spend some quality time with her. I know she misses me. =) Bridge to Terabithia. It would be a marvellous show, though being inside the fantasy of two kids. We are still kids at heart, aren't we. And there are people who stubbornly think that they are 9-year-old and 12-year-old kids. You know who I'm talking about don't you. (: Well, self-denial can be healthy to a certain extent, I suppose. |
